Comparison of the pursuing performance of Accommodation and that of Convergence among real object, 2D display and 3D display when moving a target along the depth direction

(in English) By the spread of 3D contents, 3D video is becoming familiar to us. However it is known that video sickness sometimes occurs when viewing 3D content. We have been studying the mismatch of convergence and accommodation to be one of the causes of the video sickness. Using the equipment which can measure convergence eye movement and accommodation simultaneously, we analyzed the change of convergence eye movement and that of accommodation when pursuing the real target, the target of 2D image and that of 3D image moving along the depth direction. As a result, although convergence and accommodation changed faithfully according to the depth of a real target, it was shown that they changed little even when pursuing a target in 3D image as well as pursuing a target in 2D image on the conditions of the disparity difference used this time.
