It is expected that applications and situations of near-distance wireless communication will increase more and more together with a rising of brand new terminals such as wearable units, fog/edge computing. In this stream, terahertz technology is an candidate for high speed and high capacity communication of wireless data transfer between a unit and a unit, or a terminal and a terminal. It is often required for the terahertz system to be small-sized and low power consumption, especially when the system will be loaded on a small-sized unit or terminal. We have been studying on a possibility of simply-constructed terahertz wireless system, proposing a integrated device which is constructed by an integrated antenna and a resonant tunneling diode for both the transmitter and the receiver. In this report we describe a theoretical model of the transmitter, and discuss some results of analyzing dynamic characteristics. |
