Higher-order Bandpass Characteristics of Four-path Power-amplifier-inserted Transversal Filter in EPWM Transmitter for FPGA Implementation

(in English) This paper designs EPWM transmitter using higher-order band-pass characteristics of 4-path power-amplifier-inserted transversal filter (TF) with Xilinx/System Generator block for FPGA Implementation. In addition, to evaluate difference of a desire wave and undesire wave (D/U ratio) from the power spectral density after 2-path and 4-path TF. Moreover, the EVM is calculated by demodulating the transmitter signal and the number of the pass-band order and the numberof path of the TF. As a result, the D/U ratio of 4-path TF was higher than 2-path TF at wider-frequency-band (Q=5, 2.5). In addition, the EVM is little affected by the BPF inserted after TF when the effective number of path is smaller than 32 and the number of Q of BPF inserted after TF is smaller than 20.
