Experimental Performance Evaluation of Interference Reduction Between Multiple Wireless Systems Exploiting Load Modulation

(in English) When secondary system uses the same frequency band in the area of primary system such as television broadcast system which has the primary receiver, interference between the base station of secondary system and primary receiver is important issues because the base station of secondary system cannot estimate interference channel. The authors have proposed the interference suppression method, where the load modulation technique is used to primary receiver, and the base station of secondary system estimates the channel from the primary receiver. This paper presents the experimental results of the effect of interference reduction by our method. In the experiment, PIN diode is used as a load impedance element, and it is possible for primary receiver to load modulation. The measurement results showed that the Signal-to-Interference Ratio (SIR) with interference control at primary receiver side is improved up to on average of 17.0 dB compared to that without interference control. From this experiment, it is found that the interference suppression method using load modulation wave is effective in reducing interference.
