A Consideration of a Method for Virtualizing Wide-area SDN/NFV Infrastructure Services

(in English) Virtualization of SDN/NFV infrastructure services, which are provided by multi-domain infrastructure providers (InPs), enables multiple application service providers (ASPs) to control the infrastructures independently. This enables to implement various application services easily on the common wide-area infrastructures. In order to use physical network resources efficiently, on-line computing of the paths on the physical networks corresponding to the paths on virtual networks is an effective way. Furthermore, for performance isolation among virtual networks, the paths should be computed using the available bandwidth of physical networks. In this paper, we propose an architecture of virtualization to accommodate many virtual networks. The architecture parallels the path computation and enables to reduce the references of the available bandwidth database.
