Since fish-eye cameras have over 180$^circ$ field of view, they have been used for taking a wide range. On the other hand, they are becoming widespread for general users recently. Because of specific fish-eye distortions, correcting distortion is required so that human or computers can recognize them easily. This research improved and evaluated a calibration method using a LCD. This proposed and applied the line detection algorithm which was robust against intensity change. Also, this showed taking patterns hugely influenced results, and a number of distortion coefficients had to be increased for accuracy by making simulated fish-eye images. |
