In the recycle factory of wet towel, the inspections of dirty marks, rifts, alien substances such as the piece of metal and hair are done.
In specially, the alien substance of hair is checked by visual observation.
This work, however, causes the problem of the oversight.
To solve this problem, this paper proposes an automatic discrimination system of hair on the wet towel using image processing.
This system employs FPGA to extract hair from image gotten by the line sensor camera in real-time.
The extraction of the hair discrimination is achieved by 4 processes, which are edge detection, labeling, area calculation, and thresholding. |
