MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Network) is a network that connects mobile phones without any central control. Since MANET is an infrastructure-less network that consists of only mobile devices, it should be convenient means to construct temporary networks as a part of contingency plan (when a disaster occurs). In this paper, we propose and design a short message exchange system for sufferers based on mobile software agent system running on mobile ad hoc network, and report how we have implement the system. Our experience suggests that the combination of mobile software agents and ad hoc network open the new horizon of temporary communication system without infrastructure. |
