Wearable ECG Monitoring and Alerting Platform -- Focusing on ST Segment Detection --

(in English) We are developing the "Wearable Heart Disease Monitoring and Alarting System (iHeart) "and carrying out demonstration experiment. In iHeart, a patient mounts the wearable ECG sensor for constant ECG monitoring and, when it detects an abnormality, the patient’s smartphone issues an alarm to show the measures and makes an emergency call as needed. The initial system has already been completed for the detection and alerting of arrhythmia. Currently, we are improving the system to deal with the ischemic cardiac disease such as cardiac infarct and cardiac arrest by detecting the abnormality of the ST waveform that indicates the signs of such disease. Specifically, we describe the ECG analysis algorithm based on wavelet transform and evaluate its effectiveness by actual patient data.
