In this paper, we propose a finite difference time
domain (FDTD) method considering the elastic wave to analyze
the compact acoustic systems (earphones and mobilephones).
FDTD method is a numerical analysis technique used
for modeling computational electrodynamics.
Recently, it has been used on acoustic wave analysis.
Acoustic FDTD analysis has been introduced for analyzing compact acoustic systems
because equivalent circuit analysis for designing general acoustic
systems cannot be utilized for compact acoustic systems.
However, the sensitivity of a measured response around the resonance frequency differs
from the analysis result because the common FDTD analysis does not employ the viscous effect.
We therefore examine the effectiveness of an FDTD analysis considering viscous effect through some simulation results. |
