(in English) The usage of spoof surface plasmons (spoof SPs) has attracted attention as a possibility for extending plasmonics into low frequency bands. The spoof SPs are a kind of surface electromagnetic wave modes characterized by the surface microstructures of a metal, and then can be categorized into two types: spoof surface plasmon polariton as propagating modes which are confined at the metal-dielectric interface and spoof localized surface plasmons as localized modes which have standing wave nature on closed metal surfaces. In this work, we analyze spoof localized surface plasmons by using the conventional two-dimensional (2-D) finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) scheme formulated on polar coordinate grids.
