| 抄録 | （和） | 本研究の目的は，高齢者がこれまでの経験から得た知恵を若者に語る場面において，知恵の内容と若者の反応が高齢者の心理変化―「世代性(Generativity)」（次世代を教え導くことへの関心）―に与える影響を明らかにすることであった。特に，失敗経験から得た知恵を語る場面は，高齢者自身にとって語ることに対する心的抵抗が強いため，若者からの反応が心理変化に与える影響が強いと予測した。高齢者37名（平均年齢68.50±3.89歳）を対象に，知恵の内容（失敗経験からの知恵・成功経験からの知恵）×若者の反応（ポジティブ・ニュートラル）を操作した実験を行った。その結果，失敗経験からの知恵の語りに対して若者がポジティブに反応したときのみ，高齢者の世代性の向上が認められた。成功経験からの知恵の語りの場合は、世代性の向上およびそれに対する若者の反応の影響は見られなかった。本研究から，高齢者が自らのネガティブな経験を次世代に活かそうとする際の，若者の反応の影響が明らかとなった。 |
| （英） | The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the contents of wisdoms and reactions of young generations on generativity of the elderly in passing their wisdoms toward young generations. Participants were 37 middle-aged and old Male adults aged 64-77 years. They were assigned to the “wisdoms from experiences of failure” condition or the “wisdoms from experiences of success” condition. In the experiences of failure condition, the participants were asked to tell their experiences of failure from youth and wisdom they have gained from them to recipients, whereas in the experiences of success condition, they were asked to tell their experiences of success. The recipients responded to the participants in either positive or normal way. Results showed that generativity in the elderly was promoted most when the young recipients responded in a positive manner to the narratives about “wisdoms from experiences of failure”. The effect of reactions of young generations when the elderly would make use of their negative experiences for the youth was discussed. | |
