This study addresses the efficient realization of super resolution FM-chirp correlation method (SCM) using synthetic aperture scheme. Since SCM transmits a focused transmitted beam for super resolution techniques, it requires multiple transmissions in each line in order to obtain an image of the entire imaging region. This increases the amount of processing and puts a strict limit on the frame rate. To solve these problems, we propose a method called SA-SCM (Synthetic Aperture-Super resolution FM-Chirp correlation Method). SCM is a technique that applies MUSIC (MUltiple SIgnal Classification) algorithm, which is a radio direction-of-arrival estimation method. In this paper, we confirm the effectiveness of the proposed SA-SCM through simulations using PZFlex (Weidinger Associates), which is a standard finite element method (FEM) simulator for ultrasound propagation. From the simulation results, it was confirm that it is possible to estimate the exact position of the reflecting object using SA-SCM. |
