A Digital PFM Controller with Suppressed Time-Delay within 1μs

(in English) In this paper, a digital pulse width modulation (PFM) controller for the non-isolated DC-DC Converter has been proposed. Recently, it is required that the frequency of the switching power supply is higher, not limited to a non-isolated one, due to be smaller size and higher power density of the insolated DC-DC converter. In this study, the digital PFM control circuit for the LLC current resonant converter with fast response has been proposed. With the experimental results, it is confirmed that the switching frequency can be varied from 0.8MHz to 1.2MHz in regard to 20% variation of the equivalent output voltage of DC-DC converter. Also, it was confirmed that the time delay can be suppressed to 6.0ns.
