Opportunistic Routing Using Fixed Nodes for Load Balancing in Ad Hoc Networks

(in English) Ad hoc network is regarded as an optimal solution to establish network on poor quality environments such as stricken areas due to its simple and low cost operation. However, conventional routing methods cause centralization of packet transmission load except for the occurrence of dynamic network topology changes.
In this paper, we propose a novel location-based load balancing method that can decentralize packet transmission load of each node in the whole networks. The proposed method opportunistically selects a route for data transmission from several route candidates prepared for load balancing. The performance and the efficiency of the proposed method are also clarified by computer simulation.
