Though it is known that the perception of saltiness is reduced by cathodal-current tongue stimulation placing a cathodal electrode in the mouth, the correlation between the magnitude of current and the effect size of reducing saltiness is not clarified. By revealing this correlation, it is assumed that we can build the interface which can bring any strength of salty flavor perception by suppressing higher concentration of saltiness. This interface would be a part of taste presentation system that make it possible to eat and drink in Virtual Reality (VR) environment. |
