The parametric loudspeaker has sharper directivity and it can achieve an audio spot which can represent the audible sound to a narrow spatial area.
However, the parametric loudspeaker has problems caused by reflections and intercepts because they become unwanted noise to other listeners except a target listener.
Thus, we have proposed the design of the audio spot based on separating emission of the carrier and sideband waves.
The previous method has designed a small audio spot using flat-type parametric loudspeakers.
In this paper, we therefor propose a new design of a large audio spot based on separating emission of the carrier and sideband waves using curved-type parametric loudspeakers.
Moreover, in the proposed method, we utilize the sideband waves which are separated to multiple bandlimited waves for reducing the unwanted noise by the intermodulation distortion.
As a result of evaluation experiments, we confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
