WRR Weight Distribution Method to Maximize the Number of Processing Packets in Allowable Delay

(in English) The traffic amount of the streaming communication is increasing every year by the spread of VoIP and live streaming application. Streaming transmission has the severe restrictions in allowable delay, compared with the data transmission, and various network designs are proposed up to the present. For example, flow scheduling which controls band distribution of traffic flows is proposed. However, a conventional scheduling method does not consider the allowable delay of each flow. In some cases, the packet of the flows which has enough room for allowable delay is processed with priority, and there may be a lot of packets which exceed of allowable delay. In this paper, we propose the optimal weight distribution method to maximize the number of processing packets in allowable delay , based on queuing theory and Lagrange multiplier method in the network where each flow has different of allowable delay We examined the effectiveness of the proposed method under various traffic conditions by numerical analysis. As a result, we showed that the packets are effectively processed in allowable delay even when the network is heavily congested.
