SSB (Single Side Band) transmission of digital modulation signals can reduce the bandwidth of DSB (Double Side Band) digital modulation signals by half. Therefore, SSB digital modulation is expected to improve the frequency efficiency (bit/s/Hz), however as modulation signal must be real for SSB transmission, there are just a few research report so far. Recently, SSB transmission based on DFTs-OFDM (Discrete Fourier Transform spreading Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing), which is robust to frequency selective fading, have been proposed. This report describes performance evaluation of SSB-DFTs-OFDM signal using multi-level BPSK (Binary Phase Shift Keying) to make modulation signal real. Computer simulation results such as adjacent cannel leakage power and bit error rate performance are compared with DFTs-OFDM and OFDM. |
