Analysis of gazing point and head direction when viewing 4K image from short distance

(in English) In recent years, displays with much more resolution such as super high-definition television have been developed by improvement of display technology. An image quality evaluation experiment to a high-definition picture of 4K and 8K is also performed. Short distance watching is possible by a high-definition picture, but therefore there is a possibility that the watch point of view and the movement of the head are different in an image quality evaluation experiment every watching place by the subject. So the watch point of view of the subject and the movement of the head when viewing the image from the viewing distances of 1.5H and 0.75H were analyzed. The big difference was shown by the horizontal head movement by 0.75H and 1.5H watching. When the amount of the head movement was compared by the standard deviation, nearby double difference was obtained by 0.75H compared with 1.5H. The tendency which gazes at the location of the screen center direction a little from the subject' front was seen about the observation location. The average location and the standard deviation of the gazing point that head movement and eye movement have been added were at the display center mostly in spite of the observation locations and viewing distances.
