Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper proposes an estimation method of amplifier nonlinearity for adjacent channel interference (ACI) cancellation in millimeter wave communication systems. In millimeter wave communication systems, transmit signal is heavily distorted, resulting in severe ACI problem. This is because a nonlinear region of power amplifier is intentionally utilized in terms of power efficiency. In this case, an interference cancellation technique plays a key role to suppress ACI. The canceller generates replicas of the interference signal and subtracts the interference replica from the received signal in iterative receiver. In this method, the amplifier nonlinearity and channel transfer property must be captured in the receiver side. Thus, we propose a novel estimation method of amplifier nonlinearity, with the assistance of nonlinear regression analysis on the basis of channel transfer property. However, Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of the data sequences is higher than that of pilot sequences, and estimation of amplifier nonlinearity only using pilot sequences is insufficient to generate interference replica. Thus, this paper also investigate an estimation method of nonlinearity by means of using error free data sequences. We confirm that proposed scheme is effective in ACI cancellation.
