A Proposal of Memory-Aid Agent for Dementia Elderly

(in English) Dysmnesia is a common symptom of dementia, and memory-aid is common therapy used to reduce the progression of Dysmnesia.
Since there is a problem that current memory-aid method puts increasing pressure on both caregivers and dementia elderly, a new memory-aid method is needed.
We consider a memory-aid method which use virtual agent that was developed in the previous study.
The use of this virtual agent, a memory-aid which reduce the burden of caregivers and make dementia elderly more comfortable can be realized.
However, the virtual agent can not apply to dementia elderly directly because the virtual agent are targeting healthy person.
In this paper we propose a memory-aid agent for dementia elderly.
Memory-aid agent is composed of the virtual agent and Web application (called Memory-aid application), and provides a multi-modal interaction and friendly memory aid to dementia elderly.
In addition to this, we conduct case study to confirm availability of memory-aid agent.
