Accidents on vessel traffic are mainly caused by human error of deficient watch. Therefore it is expected to raise the safety on navigation by computer vision system. Image stabilization processing is mandatory since input images for recognition which is obtained from a camera on a ship include shaking at long period. However, it is difficult to process image stabilization of high resolution images (4K) at the required performance rate (10fps) by conventional software (SW) processing. On the other hand, it is also difficult to implement the whole system as hardware (HW) of the complex processing. This research aims to construct an automatic watch system by HW/SW cooperative processing by using FPGA with ARM processor core (Xilinx Zynq platform). The development of Zynq board which is specialized for network connection and the design of image stabilization system of networked camera which works on the developed board are described in this paper. |
