Theoretical BER Performance of Nonlinearly Amplified Uplink OFDMA Signals in the Presence of Terminal Mobility
Takahiro Yamaguchi, Kei Nishimura, Fumiaki Maehara (Waseda Univ.) RCS2014-370
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) OFDM has become one of the most promising techniques because of its robustness against the severe frequency selective fading as well as the high bandwidth efficiency. However, OFDM has an inherent drawback of its high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). So far, we have proposed the derivation method of the simple series form formula of BER performance for uplink OFDMA signals in the presence of nonlinear fading channels. In this report, as the extension of this work, we additionally take into account the time selectivity due to terminal mobility and then derive its theoretical BER performance. The validity of the derived formula is confirmed by the agreement with the computer simulation results.
