Advice : An application design environment for various parallel processing hardware

(in English) We propose an application design environment: Advice (application design environment for various parallel processing hardware) which targets on various types of parallel processing hardware such as multicore/manycore CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs. The Advice reads a source program written in a language that can explicitly describe the parallel processing and generates codes written in various kinds of parallel programming language by translating source program into intermediate representation: AIR (Advice intermediate representation) which we also propose. In order to evaluate our ideas, we implemented one frontend and two backends for the Advice. The frontend analyzes a source program written in C like parallel programming language and builds an AIR of the program. One backend generates an OpenMP C code and the other generates a C code which can be synthesized by Vivado HLS from the same AIR. We show that those frontend and backends work as intended by showing simple examples. We discuss how to make the Advice practical.
