Real-Time Static Voltage and Frequency Scaling on RMT Processor with Instructions Per Clock Cycle Control

(in English) In Recent embedded real-time systems, not only high performance but also low power consumption is
required. To meet these demands, Responsive Multithreaded Processor (RMT Processor) is designed. Its architec-
ture is Simultaneous Multithreaded so it is a high throughput processor. To support real-time processing, it can give threads priority to use hardware resources and control Instructions Per Clock cycle (IPC). It also can satisfy low power consumption demand by the device accumulated as system in a package which can perform Real-Time Static Voltage and Frequency Scaling (RT-SVFS). When applying RT-SVFS to RMT Processor, a logical processor which has a high load would be the bottleneck problem. In this research we propose an efficient way to perform RT-SVFS on RMT Processor by using IPC control. According to the simulation results, the proposed technique improves schedulability and power consumptions compared by the existing techniques.
