We propose the compounded presentation system (Prop-Tactile display) in a local vibration presentation method and powered mechanical leading method to make it easier for visually impaired people to rapidly understand two-dimensional information displayed on a tactile display. Here, we evaluate the effect that compared the local vibration presentation and powered mechanical leading presentation with the conventional convex-concave presentation on the tactile display. In the first experiment, the five-grade subjective evaluation of the easy recognition and image was performed by using the contents that used by daily life and assumed the use in the educational field. Then, we performed an experiment to distinguish intersected two trigonometric function graphs, and objectivity evaluated at recognition time and a correct answer ratio. As a result of subjectivity evaluation, the evaluation value that both the powered mechanical leading presentation and the local vibration presentation method were higher than the convex-concave presentation in both contents. In the result of the objectivity evaluation in comparison with the convex-concave presentation, it was found that the recognition time was significantly shortened and a correct answer ratio was improved on the proposed two presentation method. By the results of these experiment, it was verified that the Prop-Tactile display was effective for the conveyance of a figure and a graph. |
