The far-field gain for horn antenna used as typical reference and broadband antennas on millimeter-wave bands is determined using the three-antenna method based on the Friis transmission formula. Experimental results of a WR-3 (220-325 GHz) band horn antenna and its uncertainty estimations show that by considering the phase center, accurate gain measurement can be performed at reduced distances. In addition, to ensure the validity of their results, we compare theoretical results obtained from a numerical electromagnetic solver with measured data. |
