(in English) NMI(Normalized Mutual Information) is considered to be effective for a multi-modality medical image registration. However, many approaches have been applied to undeformable organ, such as brain and bone, not but deformable one. In this paper, the weakness when NMI is to be applied to matching between deformable objects and is used with small templates are first discussed. Then, we propose a new method of multi-modality registration which is applicable for deformable organ with multi-modal images. Finally, the experimental results are shown, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of our method.
