(in English) Reading picture books has positive effect on children's development on language. To enhance the positive effect, an adequate selection of the picture book is required. In this paper, we propose
a similarity search system for nding picture books that are similar to a child's favorite book which may also be
favored and possibly be read with interest by the child. In addition, we report a result of the evaluation experiment
assuming the use of proposed system in picture book recommendation, which was carried out with the cooperation
of experienced helpline counselors.
