Investigation on Resource Assignment Based on Proportional Fair Criteria Employing Three Radio Resources

(in English) In order to support the rapid increase of mobile traffic, research on 5G mobile communication system already started. In 5G, the radio resource selection is more important to improve user experience, since more radio resources that those in 4G are available to users. The proportional fair (PF) resource allocation is one of the most effective allocation, which achieves the fairness between users in addition to high spectrum efficiency. This paper derives the PF resource allocation for three radio resources. The derived solution indicates that users communicate to the BS using one of two resources except for one user. Furthermore, as a example applying the solution, the radio resource allocation for interference coordination is presented.
