Development of synchronization techniques for audio and text data using Java

(in English) Dictation is known as an effective way of English learning. Meanwhile, it is pointed out that there are many students who are not good at dictation. This paper discusses dictation assistance functions in English learning, and Java implementation of the functions. We adopt the MP3 file as audio data, and the lrc file as as text data since they are used in many audio appliances. We utilize the standard multi-threading capabilities of Java to synchronize audio and text data. A GUI is implemented to facilitate dictation. Experiments show that our approaches are effective. Directions for future research are also discussed.
