| (in English) | NII has been developed Bare-Metal Cloud and provides on-demand cloud services for researchers and their projects. For the next phase, it is investigated to utilize OpenFlow to accomplish Inter-Cloud of Bare-Metals. As our current deployment only service network is sliced and only physical NICs on service segment are allowed to manage by individual user himself. We are going to develop Inter-Cloud Network Functions, which enable users to directly control management network segment and physical NICs on it. As the service network segment is sliced, management network is sliced and extended through private network. Then, management function for physical servers can be delegated safely to external cloud controllers. It would be an alternative Inter-Cloud implementation based on bare-metal network without having interoperability between cloud controllers of different architecture. In this article we will describe Inter-Cloud network functions and their implementation based on OpenFlow. |
