Study on Feeding Structure of Fountain Antenna with Sea-water

(in English) Sea-water is available as a antenna element because sea-water has relatively-high electrical conductivity. It can operate as a monopole antenna by shooting sea-water and feeding, and it has the advantages of dynamic and reconfigurability. There is the non-contact feeding by magnetic coupling in the feeding methods of a fountain antenna with sea-water. However, the radiation efficiency by this feeding method is low because a ferrite used in feeding is high-loss material. In addition, the impedance mismatch and loss by a current flowing through the side of water-supply are also the problem. Therefore, in order to solve these problem, an efficient feeding structure of fountain antenna with sea-water is designed and considered in the numerical calculation and measurement.
