Amplitude Switching Phenomena in Coupled Networks of Hard Type Oscillators

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this study, we investigate the oscillation phenomena in a random-coupled network of hard-type oscillators whose nonlinear characteristics are represented by fifth-power polynomials. Recently, we have shown that the chaotic phenomena are seen in the network with soft oscillators whose nonlinear characteristics are represented by third-power polynomials. In this report, we show not only chaotic phenomena but also torus and random switching phenomena of amplitudes which are not shown in the networks with soft type oscillators by changing the coupling coefficients.
