Reduction of Leakage Electromagnetic Field from Feeding Coil for Contactless Charging System for Moving Electric Vehicles

(in English) We have researched contactless charging systems, which utilize electromagnetic inductive transfer, for moving electric vehicles. One of the problems in these systems is EMF emission from the feeding and receiving coil. In this paper, we propose a new shape coil (Type B coil) in order to reduce the EMF emission from feeding coil and compared it with a conventional square coil (Type A coil). Simulations and power transmission experiments have shown that Type B coil has a high EMF reduction effect (over 90 %) and can assure a high transmission efficiency and stable power transmission in the vehicle running direction.
