Camera Based Data Recognition for Enbedding Invisible Information in Images -- New Type for Two-Dimensional Barcode and Its Application --

(in English) Because Two-dimensional barcodes like a QR code can be read by terminals which equip camera device, it is frequently used for various occasions.
However, when a QR code is displayed at advertising catalog, its perceptual patterns impair the appearance.
Therefore, we focused on a specific application to develop a two-dimensional barcode in order not to impair the appearance.
In this paper, we propose a new type two-dimensional code looks like a soccer ball such that the appearance matches the advertising catalog designed for soccer events.
We develop an application for smart phone that can extract data from the proposed two-dimensional barcode using various signal processing operations.
Furthermore, by using an error correcting code we improve the tolerance for noise injected at the optical reading process of the barcode.
