Recently, demand for development of high-speed mobile communication in intelligent transport systems (ITS) are rapidly growing because of the large attention to advanced driving support. However, in the high-speed mobile communication, the transmission quality often deteriorates due to the severe fading. For those environments, we have proposed a relay transmission scheme in high-speed mobile uplink where a vehicle-to-vehicle network-coded cooperative communication is utilized as the relay transmission in addition to the direct uplink from the mobile terminal to basestation. In that study, however, the channel estimation was assumed as reflect. Therefore, in this study, we propose a pilot symbol-based estimation scheme for the uplink network-coded relay communication where an estimation is needed only in the basestation. The improved performance is shown through computer simulations. |
