Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) CISPR has prepared regulations suppressing Electromagnetic interference (EMI) from electric and electronic devices in order to prevent EMI in wireless communication systems. As evaluation index for EMI, peak (PK), quasi-peak (QP) and average (AV) detections have been used. Particularly, the time constants used in QP detection were regulated on the basis of responses of analog circuits and human audition. Therefore, it is known that evaluations of EMI by PK/QP/AV detections don’t correlate with EMI affecting digital communication systems. However, the condition where PK/QP/AV can be applied has not been clarified, and the condition where PK/QP/AV cannot be applied has not been clarified too. Thus, in this report, as a study of evaluation method for EMI affecting digital communication systems, PK/QP/AV detections’ coverages were investigated experimentally, using asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL), which attempts to reconnect autonomously when communication conditions deteriorate. As a result, it has been clarified that evaluations for EMI by PK/QP/AV detections can be applied to influence to digital communication systems due to difference of frequency bandwidth of continuous wave. In contrast, it has been confirmed that evaluations for EMI by PK/QP/AV don’t correlate with digital communication systems when focusing on burst EMI. From this investigation, it has been clarified that influence to digital communication systems due to difference of frequency bandwidth of continuous wave can be evaluated appropriately by establishing tolerance of PK/QP/AV and there are cases where evaluations for EMI by PK/QP/AV detections don’t work properly when evaluating burst EMI.
