Large loop antenna system is one of the radiated emission test methods for induction cooking appliances and electrical lights below 30 MHz. The CISPR16-1-4 defines validation factor to confirm the compatibility of radiated emission measured with the large loop antenna system, and permits ±2dB from validation factor. In the CISPR, validation factor is calculated with assuming that transmitting antenna is a magnetic dipole, and the size of transmitting antenna is not considered. This assumption leads to the error of validation factor, resulting the validation test to fail. In this technical report, we proposed an improved calculation method of validation factor using Neumann formula and the method of moment, and confirmed its adequacy. By examining in detail, we proposed new validation factor. Furthermore, we reported the results of the validation factors measured with some large loop antennas. |
