The purpose of this study is to construct a system for surgical assistance by hands-free interaction. In clinical site, surgeon use contacting device to read medical images and check the body information of the patient. However, after operating the instrument, it is necessary to re-sterilization to maintain hygiene. Therefore, hands-free surgery support system using Kinect has already been developed. But, there are problems such as it is not suitable as a design to be used during surgery, corresponds only to the 2D image and less variations of visualization. System proposed in this study allows for operating of 3D medical image visualization by simple hands-free interaction with one hand. In addition, it will incorporate processing such as segmentation and positioning of the organs by the medical image processing to provide more useful information for surgeon. |
