Feasibility Study on Radiation Distribution Measurement with Organic Photodiodes Fabricated Directly on Plastic Scintillator

(in English) In order to realize tissue equivalent radiation detector, we have been developing a new radiation detector composed with organic photodiodes (OPDs) fabricated directly on organic scintillator. We carried out experiments with X-ray computed tomography equipment, in which it has been shown that the device rarely affected the measured transmission image. From the experiments with the devices which had five sensing areas, we found that signal cross talks between adjacent channels were small and that the movements of scintillation photons in the device were reproduced in the results.
