The current status and the future directions of the PTP interoperability testing -- The Consideration based on Interop Tokyo 2015 ShowNet --

(in English) In the future, Japan will increase the number of high-precision time is needed base station (e.g. Nano Cell, Pico Cell) device for mobile LTE-Advanced spread.
Usually, high-precision time will be installed operational and maintenance costs high GNSS antenna and coaxial cable to take directly from the GNSS.
It is the use of a coaxial distributor to the means to reduce the installation number of the GNSS antenna and the coaxial cable but it lacks flexibility are limited in number to the physical distribution.
Therefore, utilization review of PTP (Precision Time Protocol) capable of highly accurate time synchronization in IP / Ethernet network is progressing.
In this presentation we will discuss the possibility of PTP application to various industries, which is expected future as a case study of Interop Tokyo 2015 ShowNet PTP interconnect demonstration experiment.
