[Invited Lecture] Activities on High Capacity 5G Wireless Access

(in English) With rapid increase of data traffic of broadband mobile service and diversity of mobile services, capacity enhancement without increasing transmission power per cell is one of key requirements for 5G wireless access. Massive MIMO draws attention as one of key technologies to meet this requirement.
Our research focuses on realization of Massive MIMO in SHF band which realizes large coverage and its commercial release is relatively early. We also study on Centralized / Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN) structure which is promising with realizing intelligent inter-cell / sight coordination in 5G dense cell environment.
In this paper, the prospects of low SHF band Massive MIMO and C-RAN structure are explained. Then, our activities and research items on them are introduced.
