(in English) In 5th generation wireless communication systems, in addition to frequency bands widely used at 4th generation, use of millimeter waves are expected for its wider bandwidth availability. As an application of millimeter waves, we are developing system with 90GHz millimeter waves as wireless backhaul for high-speed rails. In this report, based on comparison with 4th generation cellular systems and propagation characteristics of 90GHz millimeter waves, we report features and technical challenges of wireless backhaul for high-speed rail using 90GHz millimeter wave.
