Dependence of Time Evolutions of Contact Resistance on Surface Roughness of Silver Contacts Finished in a Straight Line Direction

(in English) Time evolutions of contact resistance after contacting silver electrical contacts are measured for 600 seconds. Contact load is 1.0N constant after contacting the contacts. The roughness of surfaces of the contacts is varied by changing finishing abrasives. It is shown that the contact resistance decreases with lapse of time for all roughness. Increasing the surface roughness, the contact resistance tends to increase and the decreasing rate of the resistance also increases.
