This paper studies a simple evolutionary algorithm for synthesis of digital spiking neurons(DSNs).
The DSN is based on the spiking neuron models and can be realized by connecting two shift registers.
Depending on the wiring patterns of the connection, the DSN can generate various spike-trains.
The dynamics can be integrated into a simple digital map form a set of lattice points to itself.
In order to synthesize DSN that can generate a desired spike-train, we present a simple evolutionary algorithm.
The algorithm is based on the greedy algorithm and the individuals correspond to the wiring patterns.
As a first step, a simple cost function of the autocorrelation is used.
Performing basic numerical experiments, the algorithm efficiency is confirmed. |
