A study to develop an efficient and practical photovoltaic emulation system

(in English) Development of distributed power systems with photovoltaic (PV) panels and storage batteries has become very active. Since the generated power by PV panel is unstable, development of an intelligent and efficient charging system is strongly demanded. However, development of this system requires a power source to simulate the output characteristics PV panels. Therefore, we constructed inexpensive and quickly responding PV emulation system considering various conditions of the intelligent charging system. In this paper, modeling of the PV panels and implement PV emulation system using microcomputer is discussed. Comparison with commercially available PV emulation system is discussed for evaluation about accuracy and response.
