[Poster Presentation] A Study on Iterative Interference Canceller for SIM-NOFDM Transmission

(in English) In recent year, Non Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (NOFDM) transmission which improves the spectral efficiency more than conventional OFDM has been attracted. Although NOFDM transmission can improve the spectral efficiency by narrowing the inter-subcarrier frequency spacing, the orthogonality between subcarriers is lost. Therefore, inter-subcarrier interference (ICI) occurs, and the transmission quality is deteriorated
significantly. As a technique for reducing the effects of ICI, SIM-NOFDM (Subcarrier Index Modulation-NOFDM) transmission which combines Bit Interleaved Coded Modulation (BICM) and Iterative Decoding has been proposed. By the combination of SIM modulation (On-Off Keying) and optimum bit-labeling and BICM-ID reduces the effect of ICI. In this paper, we consider the SIM-NOFDM transmission that combines the iterative ICI canceller that uses the decoding results. Moreover, we evaluate the transmission characteristics in AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) channel.
