Examination of a Slotted Resin Waveguide Using a Low Dielectric Loss Material

(in English) In this study, we fabricated a prototype slotted resin waveguide using flexible and low dielectric loss material and present our results. We examined the slotted resin waveguide and measured the resin thickness and hose height as well as discussed the transmission characteristics and the guide wavelength relation. Furthermore, we showed that the slot length can be shortened using the wavelength shortening effect. In addition, we demonstrated a simple masking tape method and its associated problem. We measured the transmission and radiation characteristics of our prototype and confirmed the use of the resin waveguide as a potential transmission line.
